Well said, by a gent who is - in fact - way more productive than me:

I have never written anything. Aside from school papers and W9 forms, I keep away from writing because I don’t think I’m terribly good at it. I don’t tweet too often. I certainly don’t write posts on tumblr. I have ideas for things to write all the time though. I can’t even begin to tell you about…

Barack Obama, American Cool

It’s an election year. I’ve promised myself to not be overtly political about anything on this blog until - at least - August. However, I will say this: Barack Obama is the coolest U.S. President that ever lived. This interview not only shows of the savvy and accessibility his administration has exemplified, but it’s just cool to hear the President talk sports for half an hour.

Ask yourself a basic question, “What am I doing? Honestly - what am I doing?” It’s very easy to always be looking for the quick answer to anything. When you’re younger, the easy solution is - well - easy to go to, because you think you know everything. But at the end of the day, you could be avoiding a very basic point: you need to work on you.

That’s a vague uber-statement, I know, but stay with me. That could mean a variety of different things, dependent completely on your experience. For me, I can only say one thing: it’s means I’ve got to do the work. “The work” being building a career for myself. Not bullshitting around. Not pointing fingers. Not expecting someone else to have all the answers for me. It comes down to me, and I am nothing without the work.

Be the man with the perfect kick.

One of the best break-up songs to be released in the last 15 years, “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Goyte. Also, incredibly moving video.

I know I’m late to the party on this one, considering the viral sensation that was the Walk Off The Earth cover, but these days - when am I not late to the party?
